YOGA Class Descriptions
All YOGA classes with YOGAinYOGAout are safe for beginners and all body shapes and sizes. YOGA is great for cross training with other forms of sports, exercise, (running), etc. We teach YOGA at a few regular locations and are also available to travel onsite or to customize a YOGA program for you.
Continuing YOGA- Weight bearing asanas (postures) to help maintain and strengthen bones, joints, spinal alignment and muscle tone to combat the effects of stress and aging. Will include pranayama techniques (breath work) and deep relaxation. 75 minutes.
Mid-day YOGA- Our mid-day class is to calm and center you, increasing flexibility and strength. Ends with deep relaxation to help you manage stress through your day. 75-90 minutes.
Session I and Session II YOGA- Come try out beginning level YOGA, for all levels of fitness. Focus on inner awareness; stress management and whole being wellness while increasing flexibility, strength and range of motion. Ends with deep relaxation. 75-90 minutes.
Sunrise YOGA- Come ease your aches, pains and stiffness while increasing flexibility and range of motion in our early morning class. Start you day outside with gorgeous views of the sunrise, calm and centered, but full of energy. No experience necessary. 60 minutes.
Sunset YOGA- I invite you to embark on an experiment. In this class, instead of going to the studio, take a deep breath and come outside with us. Find yourself a comfortable flat spot, removing twigs and stones, lay out your YOGA mat, and sit in silence, attuning to the Earth. This is a nice way to bring an end to your day and get a really peaceful and restful night of sleep.
Stress Management YOGA- Leave your stress behind with pranayama techniques, asanas and deep relaxation in the gentle Ananada tradition. No experience necessary. 75 minutes.
YOGA and Meditation- After working through asanas to prepare the body and relax deeply. We then explore different styles of meditation.
Senior YOGA- All YOGA done in this class can be done standing, sitting on the floor or sitting in a chair for the entire class. Using chair YOGA techniques is highly recommended and encouraged in this class. Doing YOGA in a Chair is excellent for people who have a hard time standing for any period of time or for wheelchairs.
YOGA Kids- Build strong healthy bodies, increase flexibility, learn to relax and have lots of fun! 30-45 minutes.
